Welcome to Middle Grounds Solutions

This is where I write semi-regularly about conflict management and dispute resolution, my life’s work. My work is guided by my origin story and what I have learned and experienced through working in the field since 1992.

I was born and raised in San Francisco, California-a second generation ethnic Chinese girl with a rich cultural background. I was the first in my family to graduate from college. I attended parochial Catholic schools through high school, went on to a state university and then earned two graduate degrees (University of California (B.A. Linguistics, University of Washington, M.S. Speech and Hearing Science, J.D. Georgia State University College of Law). I believe access to information and learning are key to empowerment, and I delight in helping people resolve their own problems with as much or as little help as they need, at a reasonable cost.
